Red Co-operative

Charlie baker has been designing and building retrofits for over 25 years.

Charlie takes a “fabric first” approach, which means starting with insulation and ventilation to minimise a home’s heating requirements, before focusing on heating, lighting and renewable energy generation. Through these performance improvements, Red makes buildings work better than when they were built.

GM Labour for a Green New Deal

We are a group of activists campaigning for a Green New Deal to avert climate collapse while rebuilding communities through a transformative programme of investment. Retrofit is a great starting point because it can cut emissions and create tens of thousands of dignified green jobs.

Andrew Glassford, who founded the project, is a freelance theatre technician and production manager. With a decade’s experience working in live events, Andrew saw a huge skills base in the creative industry emerge because of the pandemic which we can use to kickstart a retrofit revolution and build back better.
